Yet another week and yet another “body confidence” piece - which is great in principle, but reading about a photographer “doing it for her pre teen daughters” makes me wonder
a) where teens and pre teens are concerned, is there ANY way to avoid the crushing “Mum I’m fat/ugly/a hideous person” conversation or is that something experienced by parents of ALL teens?
b) if not, what is it about your teen that makes you think they are accepting and at peace with who they are?
My children are still little and I know my blood will run cold the first time one of them mentions “being fat”.
Is there anything parents can do to keep this at bay?
