Does anyone else do stupid things? 🙈

Went biking with my ds the other day then straight after we went to the cinema.

In the cinema carpark I took the bikes off the roof and put them in the car so they wouldn’t get nicked.

In the process I took dd’s carseat out so the bikes would fit in, with the intention of putting it in the boot once finished with bikes.

Well, I didn’t!!! I left it in the carpark, went to see film, drove off back to gps house where we were staying and then didn’t use the car again for 2 days!

It wasn’t until this morning when we got ready for our 3hr drive home that I noticed that dd’s seat was missing... took me a few minutes to realise what I’d done!

So fucking stupid! 🙈

Not just you, I've left two seperate prams in shopping centres after putting baby in the car, just gotten back in and driven off. Didn't get either back. The first time I had 3 Yr old, 4 Yr old and 2 month old with me and I'd bravely taken them all shopping on my own, once I realised what I'd done I told dh and he said what on earth were you thinking about to not have remembered it! Knob.

Argh @bobstersmum your dh’s reaction is horrendous!

Glad I’m not alone!....

I also took ds shopping for the whole day in a big city. Got back to the car after a few hours out and realised I’d left the back car door wide open!!

Currently at a busy camp site.
Dh asked me to put his beer in the communal freezer....
I left it in the shop freezer.....
Made him go back- and actually it has been great as now I have an excuse to never ever set foot in that shop!!

I remember going to buy DS a high chair. We strapped DS back in his car seat and after turning car around, we set off home. Looking out the window I remarked there was a big box like ours we'd just passed. It WAS ours.
I've just started a new job ( on two floors working between both) and I've been going downstairs to the water cooler several times a day. My colleague asked why.She then pointed out the upstairs water cooler 5ft from my desk.Blush

I once took my dd to a baby class and I was i in such a tizz going out the door that I left the front door wide open 🤣🤣🤣 only realized when I came back!! The panic was overwhelming, surprisingly the house was untouched 🤣🤣🤣

We moved into a new flat where we couldnt leave the pram downstairs. And the lift was too small. So whenever we went out it was:
Put baby in sling
Take first part of pram downstairs in lift
Take second part down in lift
Fit it all together
Go back up, remove sling and get handbag etc
Rush back down to put baby in lift before getting a snotty note from neighbours (really)

The first time I did it by myself i proudly wheeled DS off to the shops. Came back home and did the reverse to get pram back up to our flat...to discover that Id left our door wide open. My parents were there and were worried something had happened.

Unsurprisingly i used the sling more than the pushchair and stopped using the pushchair all together when DS was 18 months old as he was an excellent walker.

Had to park car in a dodgy area for an evening meeting. Left car door open as I went to get parking ticket, in case I got spooked and wanted to rush back to car . Once that was done, went off to meeting.
Came back to car to find car door open, yep - I'd put ticket in the car from the passenger side and forgot drivers side was open !

DH and I went away for a few days. Amazon made a delivery while we were away, and as they do, sent a picture of where it had been left.

It was a picture of the parcel on our back doormat.

Between us we had left the back door wide open, with the keys still in it. It had been like that for 4 days. Shock

I once did a large shop for frozen foods. Leg of lamb, gammon, expensive items.

I met my friend for coffee on the way home and not wanting to leave frozen foods in the car as I'd had the heating on. I put them under the car (it was a frosty January).

I drove off and left them in the car park after coffee. That was an expensive shop as I had to buy it twice!
