Magimix food processor - worth the extra?

My trusty ancient food processor has finally given up the ghost, so I am looking for a replacement. I already have a Kenwood Chef and blender, so it's strictly for chopping etc. Is a Magimix worth the money? Particularly the 4200XL and I want a julienne blade.

Failing that, any recommendations? TIA!

Yes totally worth it. We were given ours when we got married 15 years ago and it's still going strong.

Yes. I got one for a wedding present 32 years ago. I eventually had to replace it after about 17 years and the ‘new’ one is still going strong.

Mine's 25 years old and still going strong!

Absolutely! Mine was a hand me down from my auntie 10 years ago and it's used regularly. Julienne attachment is great.

If it ever does give up the ghost I'd save to get another, it's a great all rounder.

I had one in the 1970s, and it has been handed down to a daughter! You can still get parts for the older ones, which I think is pretty impressive.

Yes. Mine was a wedding present and has been used most weeks for the last decade with no issues.

My mums was also a wedding present and still works. It’s her and dads 46th wedding anniversary tomorrow.

Great, thanks all. Need to look down the back of the sofa for some spare change...!
