anyone have any recommendations for these? and do they help with the horrible hot clammy feeling - modern build flat, insanely hot from May - November?

They don’t cool a room, you need a fan for that.

I’ve bought a few Dyson fans as they were meant to be quiet but returned them as they were rubbish.

We bought cheap fans from Argos in the end and they are virtually silent but powerful enough to cool large rooms.

I've got fans but was looking to improve the air quality.

I do have asthma and allergies so hopefully will notice a difference generally? one of my friends said she thought her air purifier helped on muggy days and a couple of the neighbours reckon it helps.

the thing is, I don't know what the air quality is like in their flats normally so it's hard to compare.

I can't see any on QVC which is a shame because their money back guarantee is fab!
