Hairdressers - help please?

My DD has had blonde hair lights at a salon a week ago and the colour is patchy and brassy looking. She does not want to go back to the salon, this is not an option, would using a purple shampoo and conditioner tone the brassy / orangey look down?

If it’s patchy purple shampoo will grab onto the lighter bits and not so much for the orange bits.
