i cannot sleep for the life of me...so wondering if anyone else is in the same boat :)

Hello fellow wide awakers, I am a night owl but chronic insomnia has me awake till dawn usually and have to work in the morning which means I’m stressing about being awake, vicious circle really

Same currently on holidays, dunno if I'm too hot or cold! And major restless legs, dh and kids snoring!

Ds just fell out of bed...........all is calm again and everyone back to sleep.......apart from me.

Just getting back into bed to go back to sleep after giving my ds his 2am feed and hand expressing to up my milk supply. I'll be up again at 5ish to do it all again...

She's sleeping now thank goodness. Can you get a cold in August? Random! Anyway saline spray seemed to help and hopefully calpol soothing any pain in her throat / chest as her cough is really bad when she starts.

I am awake and have got up to make a cup of tea. My DF died yesterday and i just can't sleep.

Tips gratefully received I don't have a husband, but if my dog behaved like a twat on my first night out of hospital he'd go straight in the crate...

I can't sleep because of sciatica. Also the menopausal hot flushes.

I've got my small-hours snuffles. Every night at the moment I get a stuffy nose at about this time. DH and DD are fast asleep in spite of my sniffing every few seconds. I would get up to make some tea, but then DD will wake up, so I'm just lying here refreshing the Active tab every few minutes.

I'm up with my dd.. she had a sick bug (or I think it was) on Thursday .. she was more herself Friday then yday she dipped again but with a bad cough. Tonight she woke up with a really bad croup cough.

Just want her better... and don't want my other 2 or me to get ill either!!!

Brought us downstairs where it's much cooler...

Ahhh my friends are going away at 7am.. to Majorca. Love holidays but lately the effort of the airport, the flight, the transfers ... I just can't be bothered. Went Centre Parcs in June and Ioved it.

Oohhh she's coughing again.. hate the croup cough, scares me so much.

Just landed back in the UK at 1.15am after a long and relaxing holiday. Stressful airport experience with baggage handlers not h. Clue what they are doing.

Got home to find out a slug had got in and left trails all over the living room carpet so I've just vacuumed. Really need to sleep as I've been awake 24 hours now but I'm absolutely wired.

@Wormantrude, snap! I'm pregnant and every night wake up around 2am for about 2 or 3 hours with a blocked nose. No matter what I do I can't unblock it. I should go downstairs but I really don't want to get out of bed....

I'm awake, just about to get in the shower before waking everybody else to set off to the airport to go to Lanzarote!

Flew home from the US yesterday, landed at 0915. Hadn’t managed to sleep at all on the plane so fell asleep when I got home and now wide awake! Up with teenage DC having supper (breakfast?!). DH slept on the plane so is the only one in the right pattern for the time zone 😁. Lovely holiday though so not complaining - just need to get sleep straight for work tomorrow.

Been awake since 2.30 🙁 bad back forced me out of bed just after 3 and I've been drinking coffee and mnetting since. Now sitting outside listening to the birds singing.

Need to go in shortly to get youngest dd up as she's leaving at 6 for a competition in Wales (we're in the Cotswolds!)

Going to be a long day
