Batshite dream

Who here can interpret dreams? 🔮🔮🔮

I had a cray-cray dream last night. I dreamt I went back to my old flat that I sold last year, using an extra set of keys I recently discovered I still have (oops!) to gain entry and look for something I thought I'd left behind.

I let myself in when the new owners were out. A rando neighbour I didn't know came in to help me search through the owners' possessions. New owners arrived home. I called out from the living room to announce myself. They were VERY UPSET. "I didn't think you'd mind", sez I, breezily. They called the police. I did not think I was remotely U and couldn't understand the distress.

I went outside to smoke (I don't smoke) and wait for the police. The neighbour had scarpered.

On reflection I believe I may have been a touch unreasonable. AIBU to think that my my subconscious is trying to tell me that I am an entitled cow with boundary issues? Or is it just that I need to melt the keys? This is a matter of some import on an otherwise crashingly dull Saturday. Grin Grin Grin

I dreamed I was helping a detective with a case, but he was very aloof and had communication issues. We were walking across a beach and I had asked him to carry my shoes but he'd left them on the sand.
We then got to a complex of wooden cabins where people could have their dead ancestors visit in spirit. We had ordered a take away and then we're trying to find out where a thief had got in.
Ended up swabbing a bathroom which had a shower curtain instead of a door, and discovering it had a secret lower level beneath the bath, with a empty bed and an open window.

In terms of your dream, it sounds as though you haven't quite reconciled yourself to the fact that your 'old flat' isn't yours anymore.
I suspect the unreasonable behaviour in your dream will stem from another interaction you have recently had with someone where you felt you'd been slighted or wronged

I was definitely the unreasonable one in the current situation. Grin

I had a dream a few times that I had murdered someone. No idea who, or why or how. The police were closing in and I was desperately trying to cover my tracks, which somehow ended up with me cooking dinner for a detective in someone elses house (no idea whose house it was either) and getting very worried they would search my house (a dream house not my real house) and find the dead body hidden beneath a giant pile of stuffed toys.
