How long do you ASICS last?

I wear mine outside office hours and walk between 5-9 miles a day in them. My last pair last about 6 months before the sole had no grip and there were holes in the toes...

Does that sound about right?

Or any trainers, even if it's not ASICS?

Running trainers? I find they last about 500km before they aren't really doing the job. Very often they'll show virtually no sole wear even though the cushioning is gone.
My converse on the other hand are in their 4th season and are held together with hope and love....

My asics last about 6 months before they need replacing, although I probably wear them for a bit longer - I walk about the same distance (12-15km a day) to and from work. I buy the goretex ones so that my feet don't get soaked in the rain, they're a bit thicker around the toes as well due to the goretex upper.

I was a Brooks girl then changed to Asics. Bought road trainers and road/trail ones. Both pairs have failed me within 12 months. Road ones i had holes where my toenails are and the trail ones where my pinky us.

Now using Saucony. Asics are pants IMO

Oh I looked at the saucony ones but wasn't sure...

I've got Reeboks. I run around 20 miles a week and they lasted about six months before splitting at the sides. I'm still wearing them (they are so comfy!) but they aren't going to hold out much longer - I've been road/trail running in them for about eight months now.
