Has this happened to anyone else yet? It's the first time I've had this happen. Can't access any content until I disable my adblocker. Even reloading the page doesn't make any difference.

Many newsites do this. The alternative is paying for a subscription.

For all its faults The Mail and more so The Mail on Sunday report on crimes against women and children which sites like The Guardian don't think are worth even mentioning. It is always better to get news and information from a variety of sources and bear in mind each source will have its own bias.

Or alternatively you can virtue signal how superior and clever you are by posting comments like presumably they've discovered that the vast bulk of their readership aren't knowledgeable enough to set up an adblock

No sad loss. I think I might still have kitten block on my laptop, anyhow.

I'll allow ads on sites I'm happy to support.

And yes, I do read some of the money articles on my phone. I'd rather keep the gossipy shite off my screen, though.

I agree that it is much better to read a variety of sources. I hate virtue signalling and superiority. Waste of time

Yes PP bore off with your sanctimonious, virtue-signalling and frankly tedious anti Mail shite.

I haven't had the ad problem yet OP but there's good advice on the thread which I shall employ if I need to.

I was using the Brave browser to access the Daily Mail website advert free until today. They've rumbled it I think. It's coming up with that PIA blocker message now. Back to the drawing board.

Well, yeah. They are a business, not a charity, and they have to make money out of their content. Newspaper circulations and advertising revenue are way down so they have to monetise their website, which means a choice between a paywall or advertising.

Why do you think you should be able to access their content for free?

Install an ad blocker called undetectable adblocker. It works fantastically on the Mail.

@MaxF414

OMG you flipping genius!!!

Have had this issue on Daily Mail and Metro for a year now!

You just fixed it and I am so grateful.

And before everyone winges about the fail... well I read nearly every newspaper over a week. Because I like to see whats going on in this country rather than stick my head in the sand.

And I do love a daily fail infographic
