I know there a load of posts about this, but just wondered what anybody else does in this situation.

I am helping a friend out today who has no childcare, her DS is friends with my DS so along with his older brother I am having them over here for the day until her DH can get back from work..all fine and good.

The boys have turned up with their Switch/tablets, again fine by me as my DS is big into his Minecraft/Pokemon etc at the moment.

I have also opened the back door, there is stuff out there for them to play on 9Archery set/swingball etc), and suggested they go any play in the garden, but they seem happy where they are.

So..would you insist on booting them outside for a bit, or just leave them be? I'm not bothered by my DS playing on his screens as we do plenty of other stuff too, but maybe feeling a bit guilty as the other kids should be outside??

I spend my life feeling guilty about my kids..it's very wearing.

I'd set time limits myself, as I would for my own dc.
If you have them all day, then I'd have gone out for a run in the park or something for a couple of hours, or go the paddling pool out or something.
