Help me find my keys!

House keys have been missing for 2 days. Dd 3 claims she knows nothing about it. Thought they’d just turn up but having a proper search today and can’t find them anywhere. Getting a bit stressed as the baby doesn’t like being put down and cries as I’m looking. So where have you found keys in strange place I could try? I feel like I’ve tried everywhere including turning out all the boxes of toys and having a scout around the garden!

Inside a pair of boots in the cupboard

I’ve found mine variously:

In the fridge
In the footwell of friend’s car
In a pocket of jeans that were in the wash
In a shoe
Down the back of the couch

Good luck!

Stop looking for now. Try and stop stressing about it as that causes toddlers to clam up. Once things are a little calmer, ask her if she's 'put them away' or offer her something similar and ask if she can put them with the keys.

Also, think back to when you last had them. You say baby is difficult to put down - could you have flung them as you come into the house because baby was fussing and they've fallen down the back of where you threw them? I have a difficult child and do it a lot of he's fussing.

Found them! It was the toddler - they were under the bathroom foot step with some other hidden treasures. Dh just said “oh yeh I found my wallet under there the other day”. Why didn’t you tell me that!!!!!! Anyway thanks again and for the reassurance. You are wonderful x
