As is relavent to the job in hand.
If you don't need "retail" experience for your job, then I wouldn't bother going back that far.
HOWEVER, if you feel a job you previously had, shows a particular strength of yours, then I would include it.
Generally speaking, (and depending.on age) you only need to go back to after education (so if you've only ever worked after school, and your only 28, Then go back!)... If your 48, and went to university, and only had 2 "proper" jobs, then only put that.
If you haven't got a great deal of experience due to long term illness, or having 29 children, or whatever, then out down all you can to bulk it out and explain why the big gaps.
If you left a job due to the supervisor being a bitch, do not say (obvs) but be creative as to why you left after a short time. NEVER, say boredom or not challenging, as that's a negative.
Do it in.pencil first (or online) and ask someone you respect n trust to check it out.
