Hi everyone! Not sure were to post this so will try here.

Looking for protein powder / whey protein recommendations for a breastfeeding mum!

Want something not to high in calories and that doesn't taste to powdery 🤷🏻‍♀️

Iv heard Oatien may be good as also has oats for BF supply and also women's best ! Anyone tried these? Thanks ☺️

Is there a reason you want them?

I bought the PHD mart protein. It’s realky nice if you have a blender/stick blender but mixed by hand it’s not so good

It tastes really nice too (made with Ff yogurt cream & milk!) haven’t braved it with water yet

The milk is too carby on a low carb diet but I needed to try it this way at first because I’m not very good at making myself drink things that aren’t nice!

I’ve just bought a couple of ready blended at the supermarket today to try. But when I get back from my holiday I’m going to try the Fast 800 powder - it’s apparently ok tasting, even with water

Don’t go too low on the calories - breast feeding takes a lot out of you! 🌷

@ChippingInLowCarbing great thanks I will look into that! I want to be able to add fruit and peanut butter etc to bulk it up hence the lower calorie !

Baby isn't here yet but will have to get up and do a work out before the older DC gets up and then will be busy busy so need something simple that won't go cold or soggy if I can't get to it straight away 🤣 xx

In that case Huel is better than "protein power". Huel is a meal replacement. Has all your required nutrients for a balanced meal, requires no extras and tastes really nice. You can get flavours to add in or the original on its own is nice too.
It is 500 cals though. You really wouldn't need to add fruit in unless you did one less scoop of powder and added a banana instead.
