The pain!

Today I had a cortisone injection in the ball joint of my foot. I hadn’t actually expected it to hurt as it’s for pain relief (even though I know it takes a few days to work).

It is AGONY!

Ouch :/ Hope it starts helping soon. Just watching my DH have one was bad enough. The rheumatologist didn't seem at all surprised by his sudden ungentlemanly language...

Singing from the same song sheet here! I have to have them regularly in my thumbs as i've got arthritis in both of them. Even with local anaesthetic mixed in with them, they hurt like a bitch, like having fizzy cold acid injected.
Word of advice, if you have to have them again, don't delay having them, on the basis that the longer you leave it the better it'll be. From experience if you leave it, it's not as effective. Trust me, i know!

I was to have two - One in each elbow. I had one and never had the other. My daughter was with me and couldn’t believe I screamed, never had the other one. My friend was the same - had one and never had the other one.
