You have to go to a fabulous shop called Equinox, in St Julian Street. I won't tell you why ... just go!

fancynancyclancy · 01/08/2019 16:12

Ooh yes I love a shop!

Folly farm is a great day out for little ones. Lots to do indoor if it rains. Also the dinosaur park is another of my DC's favourite place! Plenty of boat trips going from tenby as well.

Evenstar · 01/08/2019 16:22

Do go to Fecci’s Ice Cream Parlour, I grew up near Tenby and it was a favourite special treat as a child www.tenbyvisitorguide.co.uk/Food-and-Drink/Cafes/Fecci-Sons-Ice-Cream-Parlour.html

Folly farm is a must, we quite often get the saver pass and go 2 days as 1 never seems quite long enough, it's a huge zoo, with massive adventure playgrounds for all ages and a hug indoor softplay and vintage fairground.

crow2018 · 01/08/2019 16:38

There is an amazing restaurant called The Fat Seagull

Ricekrispie22 · 01/08/2019 16:45

Folly Farm is fantastic for young children.
Tenby Museum and art gallery always has good stuff on for small children www.tenbymuseum.org.uk/projects/just-for-kids/
Tenby Leisure Centre has a large indoor pool and caters for kids during the season. Ocean Commotion, just a short walk from Tudor Square, has a fantastic ball pool experience for younger children housed within a converted church.
Blue Lagoon water park is nearby www.bluelagoonwales.com

lurk

Teaandbiscuits88 · 01/08/2019 17:33

Really love the pasty shop opposite the church on the corner...sorry, can’t remember the name but it is lovely 😂 equinox is a GREAT shop. Highly recommend a boat trip over to Caldey Island for a leisurely wander as well.

Northernsoullover · 01/08/2019 17:35

Caldey for definite. Folly Farm, Saundersfoot beach if its nice. I love Tenby.

Homemadearmy · 01/08/2019 17:39

How long are you there for? The beaches in Tenby are beautiful, my children are happy going to them everyday.

Bubblysqueak · 01/08/2019 17:56

How could I have forgotten Saunders foot beach, it's lovely with nice toilets and a cafe!

fancynancyclancy · 01/08/2019 18:01

Ooh some fab suggestions, much appreciated.
Only there 5 days, just a last minute thing.

Yes yes yes Grin Wonderful lamb sausage rolls.

Teaandbiscuits88 · 01/08/2019 18:08

Oo yes saundersfoot beach! It’s near where we stay - amazing for rock pooling. Pembrokeshire park rangers do activities there in the holidays too - my kids did crabbing with them last year.

We are going there in 2 weeks and this post has made me very excited 😊

AConvivialHost · 01/08/2019 18:17

Blue Lagoon water park in Narberth is also worth a visit.

Sugarskulllover · 01/08/2019 18:19

We went to yeah buoy in Tenby (just down from the fat seagull) and it was so good! We got a burger each and did half and half!

Doilooklikeatourist · 01/08/2019 18:22

Cafe Vista ( lovely independent cafe , with a great view )
Beach , there are 2 , both lovely
Saundersfoot is nearby , also lovely
Folly Farm , will be busy though , there’s lots to see and do
Lots of nice shops for a snoop round

Pieceofpurplesky · 01/08/2019 18:26

We are there in a couple of weeks - have been going every couple of years for 40 years - even if just for a long weekend!
As well as the beaches
Folly Farm
Bosherston Lilly Ponds
Caldy Island
Ghost Walk
Heatherton

Loads of places to eat. We love the Bucaneer for cheap and cheerful, The Fat Seagull, The Blue Ball and the coffee shop in the arches by the beach.

fancynancyclancy · 01/08/2019 18:29

Just been googling the recommendations; Folly’s looks great, as does the dinosaur place & the swimming places, seems like there is loads to do! Defo going to do a boat trip & i’m very hungry now 😁

Thanks again

@teaandbiscuits88 do you mean the pasty shop by the church on the corner and it's opposite a sweet shop? If so it closed a few years ago!
Folly Farm
Dinosaur Park
Blue Lagoon
Caldey Island
Equinox shop
Boat trip around the bay

beepbeep321 · 01/08/2019 18:37

Dinosaur is a must if they are into dinosaurs, also folly farm.
Beaches - saundersfoot, Tenby, broadhaven south if you don't mind steps down is the best beach

Moonflower12 · 01/08/2019 18:47

Very jealous. I love Tenby. My cousins lived there when we were growing up and I have very lovely memories of our time there. Thinking we will have to go soon.

Dowser · 01/08/2019 19:30

Loved Dylan Thomas little cabin on the other coast and amazing estuary near st clears if you want to get away from crowds

Doilooklikeatourist · 02/08/2019 10:10

Dylan Thomas cabin is in Laugharne , not far from Tenby , another good place for a day trip ( there’s a castle too 🏰)
