Told me tonight he could feel a lump. I checked yes a lump you can grab prob bit bigger rhan a marble. Has no pain no discomfort just felt it.

Hoping it's just a cyst but guessing should get checked by GP

My Ds2 found his at 12. All kinds of panic from me. Turns out its calcium deposits, totally benign but will need monitoring later in life. There is a higher incidence of testicular cancer with this but no one knows if its because people are actually checking them more often so in that population its being found quicker ( I hope that makes sense). He is 25 now and has it checked every couple of years. Its never been an issue and is quite common

Makes perfect sense. If you've had lumps in the past you are going to be more likely to check in the future.

How is your DS today @Overseasmom100, did you manage to see the GP?

Probably nothing but best to check it out.

Gingers way of thinking has made me so sad. Honestly hoping that people who think like her are few and far between.

I think it’s great that the son feels comfortable enough to talk to his mum about it and its good he is aware of any changes to his body.

Ginger when I was a teen I was worried about a lump in my breast and got my mum to feel it. Is that weird or is that ok because we are the same sex? This year my mum allowed myself and my sister to feel her newly diagnosed cancerous breast lump so we know what to look for. Is that also inappropriate?

If he had the nipple thing then it probably is a cyst as the two are linked. my dp had this as a teen and was prone to lumps elsewhere as it's hormonal........he had to have an op in the end to drain the one in his chest. Try not to worry.b
