How do I find a marriage certificate online without a paywall?

I'm trying to trace a family members 2nd marriage to check the date but I'm going around in circles with the GRO. Can anyone tell me how I can do it? I've done this in the past for my Nan & that worked ok. I can't seem to do it tonight.. I just want to see the date on screen.

It depends when and where they got married. Not all areas have their marriage listings online so you’d have to use somewhere like ancestry.
