Carcassonne, ticket to ride, Alhambra, fluxx.
There is a whole world of ' continental' games that you can't buy in Smyth's. Some of the websites are great and you can search by how many players/ age etc. Actually going into a board / card games shop with a proper games geek who can advise you is even better, totally recommend it if you can.

The illustrations in some of the games are amazing and the quality is great, so much better than the plastic tat lots of games are. They aren't cheap though which is why choosing carefully is necessary. Have fun!

So many fantastic games to try! Something like sushi go is really easy to pick up and quick to play. In the small table top games we also like nyet, gloom, exploding kittens, bananagrams. Bigger board games we like things mentioned above like Carcassonne, ticket to ride, catan and also azul, reef, takenoko, tokaido.... the list goes on!

Zombie dice!

Mapominoes, Exploding Kittens, Banagrams are all great favourites here. Fruit Salad (a tin of cards like Dobble) also good fun.

Younger ages loved : Loot and Sleeping Queens
Slightly older now they love : Forbidden Island, Exploding Kittens and Perudo.

We have enjoyed a couple of board game 'escape rooms' too, although you can only play them once.

Exploding Kittens is great. We are also currently enjoying Trivial Pursuit (Family Edition)

We just got a new card game called Color Addict. It’s like a cross between Uno and Dobble. It’s quite fun!
