We've recently hired a cleaner. She came recommended in the village and I just want to check what expectations you would have?
So far we've had a 6 hour (2xcleanersx3 hours) deep clean to begin with. Followed by three weekly 2 hour cleans (2xcleanersx1 hour) and I'm not sure if it's worth it. We have a four bed Victorian house, not huge but we do have a dog and toddler that adds to the mess.
The cleaners rattle through the house, the floor gets a skim with the mop - a scuff mark on our laminate floor had survived all the above cleans.
I've also just noticed that under my bedside table hasn't been touched.
I don't expect them to move anything, but do think they should get to slightly hard to reach places. I basically expected a cleaner to be better than I am and to get to know the house and probably not clean everything every time but to keep everything at an acceptable level.
We hoover and keep surfaces wiped in between cleans and aside from the mopping it doesn't seem like they get much more done than this.
So I know this isn't AIBU but am I? What would you expect?
