Recommendation of digestive enzymes supplements for noisy tummy and gas? Any you've tried that have worked for you would be particularly helpful :) and please mention how long you've used them for, if they stop working/work less over time and/or any side effects.

Would be much appreciated.

Regardless of what I eat, I always get very gassy from 5pm till about 8 or 9pm every day :( GPs just label it as "IBS" and that it's it - case closed.

Solgar
I take permanently along with a probiotic

I honestly don’t think I could be more regular in terms of my bowel movements. Almost to the minute!!

@Lovemenorca

Thanks a lot for your response. What issue did you start taking them for? Did it help with excess farting?

& is this the product you mean?

I used to have a very noisy tummy. I didn't get any pain. I gave up milk and it stopped.

I have dreadful IBS and I find having two Actimel yoghurt drinks a day really helps. Nothing else works like they do- I’ve tried loads of probiotics etc.

Hi OP,

I have just been recommended to take ‘digestzymes’ by a doctor. The doctor did a prescription for me and I got them from a compounding pharmacy. It would appear you can get them online though on Amazon. It’s the same name and roughly the same price but actually a few pounds dearer on Amazon!

Thanks a lot everyone for your help.

@rolos
Do you mean this one in the link below? Did it specifically help to reduce flatulence and bloating?

Have you tried peppermint oil capsules? They were good for me as a general day to day. I took buscopan when the wind made me really uncomfortable and found it really helped.

LettuceBeFree · 10/08/2019 11:04

@Adviceplease1234
Thanks for your message.
I did try peppermint capsules briefly a few months back but found they made my gut feel a bit "burny and irritated". Have got buscopan aswell but not yet tried it - I presumed it wouldn't really help with reducing formation of gas (just reduce wind pains)
