What does your 7 year old like to do in Cornwall?

Apart from the beach obvs!

Dd spends a fair bit of time there in the school hols with her GM and am investigating days out, activities etc.
I don't want GM to have to drive too far (it's north Cornwall) or anything that requires long walks.
(When dp and I are down we go further afield with dd and do more active stuff so this is just when she's down without us):

So far dd has enjoyed:
Horse riding
Camel Creek
Beach
Swimming in leisure centre
Shopping for toys in Truro (!)
Wadebridge playgrounds (tho think she's a bit over these now)
Springfield's
Cinema

Am thinking maybe the otter sanctuary?

My nephews age 7 and 10 went to Otter Sanctuary last year and loved it. Was about to suggest it before seeing it on teh end of your post.

I've been wondering about taking my DCs to the Eden Project as well as it looks to have lots of activities for children

If you’re a national trust member there are quite a few places in Cornwall and they all do trails / hunts / crafts or games in the summer. Llanhydrock is a good large one and has a playground / cycle trail as well.
Lost Gardens of Heligan is always a hit with my kids - they usually have extra stuff on in the summer (the lost summer) that involves hammocks / natural play areas / a trail etc

Just realised I’ve posted 2 south Cornwall places sorry but national trust should be north as well!!

Porth? I think it is, has a little bowling place, literally like 5 lanes, inside a pub!
Its great.

Newquay has a trampoline place, we're going there next week.
And the zoo and fun pools, with flumes etc.

Hidden Valley and the Springfield pony centre

Thanks all.
Lanhydrock is great, need to keep an eye on what's on there.

Lost gardens is brilliant and we go when we're all down but the drive is a bit much for MiL. Also think it's a v long walk for her (she does it with us but we can split up and she can have a rest of needed).

Will check out the drive to Hidden Valley as looks great.
Keep them coming, thanksSmile
