I've woken up feeling a bit rough, cold symptoms + anxiety and depression don't mix! Still in bed even though I have a load of household bits to get done today.

Feeling shite quite honestly!😅

Sorry you're feeling rough. Flowers
I'm feeling a bit shit, too, so planning to stay in all day.

DH is working from home. I'd have some technical drawing to do, too, but I am so uninspired. I don't have a dealine, either, which makes it so hard to even get started. Plan is to take a bath, clean my desk and at least find all the stuff I'll need to do some work and make space for it. Sigh.

Camomila · 30/07/2019 12:35

Emailing my uni IT department and hoping they can fix my issue remotely
Trying to do at least 1h of dissertation
Napping (my morning sickness tablets make me sleepy)

Hope you feel better soon. The weather is rubbish here, cold and drizzly.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/07/2019 13:05

Sorry you're feeling well. I had horrible insomnia last night, so stayed in bed until ten to compensate.

The weather is absolutely awful. I've dragged myself out to Costa - I'm not very good at amusing myself when dp is at work!

UNwell - ffs. Sorry!

sawyersfishbiscuits · 30/07/2019 13:09

I'm whining because I don't want to clean.

Dd2 has got it into her head that she wants to play on the two penny nudger arcade thing, and has saved a load of 2ps so we're probably going to take her to the nearest one we can find (20 miles away fml) and then visit IKEA and give DH a lift home as he usually gets the bus.

I'm in a right mood because everything is messy and I'm the one home with the kids as always.

At least DD will be happy and perhaps both will be after we get ice creams at IKEA!

I'm sorry you're not feeling the best OP WineGinCake

Feeling a bit shit, too. Really need to go to yoga. I always feel better after but just can’t seem to get motivated. I really must though. I promised myself to attend two classes a week.

I hope your day picks up, op. I have lain abed many a day

Medicaltextbook · 30/07/2019 13:17

In the office at work, but there’s barely any work, probably due to summer holidays. So here I am on MN Smile

Pipandmum · 30/07/2019 13:24

At the minute waiting outside a sandwich shop for my son who is getting us all lunch then driving him back to his girlfriend’s. But considering the crap weather I was doing a very long overdue job of cleaning out the freezer. It had built up a lot of ice because it hadn’t been closed properly and so I had turned it off to let it defrost. Then I totally forgot about it for two months! So when I opened it the other day I almost fainted at the grossness inside! I whacked the freezer back on hoping that would help with the smell and today the time had come and actually it hasn’t been that bad. Need new drawers though as though now clean the fronts are cracked and broken.

onelostsoulswimminginafishbowl · 30/07/2019 13:33

Woke up late as I stayed up far too late. Went to the supermarket at lunch time for a little shop. Back lazing around on bed with the ac on full as it's very hot here today.

Will head off for a swim in the sea in an hour or so and then maybe the outdoor cinema tonight if anything decent is playing.

plantwhisperer · 30/07/2019 13:43

@Pipandmum oh my gosh! What a disaster re the freezerShock ours gets so much ice build up- we have to chip away at it every now and again.

@SecretWitch Thanks I'm sorry, the summer just seems to stretch on doesn't it? I feel like I need to do something everyday yet I'm burnt out!

What times yoga? That sounds like a great way to pick the day up.

plantwhisperer · 30/07/2019 13:45

@sawyersfishbiscuits Thank you!Thanks

plantwhisperer · 30/07/2019 13:47

@sawyersfishbiscuits Christ that is a bit far for 2p machines Grin then braving IKEA? Good luck!

I'm sorry you're always home with them, trying to clean on top of that is really hard! Can DH do the cleaning this evening?

OP posts:
plantwhisperer · 30/07/2019 13:48

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Thank you, ugh insomnia is the worst- I'm glad you had a couple more hours sleep in this morning. Hope you feel a little more human now!BrewThanks

I must say Caffè Nero is calling my name...

gotmychocolateimgood · 30/07/2019 13:50

I'm not feeling well today (chronic condition) so all I've managed to do is have a shower and make the DCs clear out some drawers in the playroom. That was worth doing as they then played really nicely with forgotten toys. DH made breakfast for us, has taken them out for lunch and is taking them swimming this afternoon. He's working from home today but can flex his time so he'll catch up in the evening when they're asleep. I'm mainly lying down, dozing and pottering online. Need to make myself some lunch but CBA.

Walnutwhipster · 30/07/2019 13:50

Thorpe Park. The weather is miserable but knew that before we set off and dressed accordingly. It has meant even the largest rides only have 10 minute queues for the DC.

cleanasawhistle · 30/07/2019 13:56

Been out all morning working.
Met a friend for a quick early lunch.
Got a few bits from the shop.
Home now......sitting having a cuppa.
Going in kitchen soon to prepare veg for dinner and also make a big pan of soup to portion out and add to the freezer.

SecretWitch · 30/07/2019 14:16

@plantwhisperer. Thank you for your kind words. You have given me the push to get to yoga. I am off.

Summer just seems to be long and hot. I keep thinking I should be out and about doing “summer people things”. I would rather be sitting on sofa, blinds drawn, wearing vest and pants, watching netflix😂

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 30/07/2019 14:32

At work. Very jealous of everyone who isn't.

sawyersfishbiscuits · 30/07/2019 14:42

OP my thinking is that if I keep the little people happy then the other stuff will sort itself out. DH is already going to pick up a second hand table for us tonight so is already on a job for me kind of Grin
Ikea for dinner also = one less problem Grin
I'm pretty much avoiding housework aren't I?

gotmychocolateimgood · 30/07/2019 14:43

OP I hope you feel better soon Flowers
