Cleaning Amtico

Still considering the new floor! Have discovered that Amtico advise not using a steam mop, does anyone use one anyway? Despite me being the primary mop-wielder, DH is unwilling to give up the powered kit. Which would take us back to the drawing board...

Steam mops aren't recommended because they can loosen the adhesive. We have a Marcher hard floor cleaner which I use on it - makes light work if it without steam.

Karcher even!

We have Amtico and I use the Vileda Turbo Mop. The steam mop would damage the joins and therefore invalidate any warranty I would have thought?

I've been using a steam mop on mine with no issues for 5 years - looks like new. I steam in the direction of the grain, in the middle of the board and not directly on joints.

Thank you all. Good point about the warranty. Thinking time again.

We have had the same dilemma so we are looking at the Bissell Crosswave
