Have you followed the thinner, stronger, leaner programme?

I've just read the book and have started following the workout routine. I'm really hoping it's effective but I'm finding it easier compared to what I usually do! Any experiences appreciated.

Haven't followed it (yet) but am getting back into weights. Do you need a workout buddy? Like your username too

Thanks! I've been doing power pump classes for the last 6 months. I've enjoyed it but it's hard to make progress as you're following the routine of the class. I want to get into heavy lifting cos I have a feeling that's when I'll see bigger results. Happy to have a workout buddy!

The weights sub forum on here is pretty quiet which is a shame

I know a good macros group that may be able to give you some advice if you want?

What is on your plan for this week?

I follow it (kind of). I use some of his exercises mixed with exercises from a PT... although i don’t do it as often as I should - I’d be A lot further along if I didn’t keep taking week long breaks every month!

He’s got a good podcast called Muscle for Life - I like listening to fitness podcasts while exercising for inspiration!

What are your 1RMs?

I can dead 57.5 and squat 55.

( I exercise at home and have only recently got a bench and rack so I haven’t really been training my bench press)

I'm doing his four times a week plan. Today is shoulders and calves! I'm going away for ten days on 4th August so that's going to interfere a bit but I plan on doing some body weight exercises to make up for it.

No idea what my 1rm is but I'm working out at home so having to adapt a bit. Currently deadlifting 37kg which isn't challenging enough so will have to invest in some more weights. I'm really hoping to be able to train at home as it saves me the time and hassle of travelling to the gym.
