I'm all out of inspiration!
Dinner for three adults three children, something I can prepare ahead, something delicious and attractive and more than a run-of-the-mill dinner.

Thank you in advance!!

This breaded harissa cod is really simple but looks and tastes great. Just serve with a salad and fresh bread if you feel you need it.

If cold, a side of salmon, poached, served with salads including potato and green and good bread and butter and some decent mayonnaise. Or tapas: a selection of salamis and cheese, some olives, semi-dried tomatoes, warm potato salad served warm not hot, this bean thing but without the merguez. Bread and small bowls of balsamic and olive oil on the table.

If warm, Delia's Moroccan baked chicken with green beans is filling tasty and easy and looks good, but miss out the chilli because of the children.

Dessert: Eton mess with home-made meringues. Crumble the meringue, whip the cream and prepare the strawberries then store everything in the fridge and mix it all together just before serving.

Mary Berry's Salmon Mousse with Asparagus is lovely and can be done in advance. Equally tasty without the asparagus when not in season.
