My DCs love making stuff and cooking. So far in the holidays we have made smoothies and jelly. Looking for other ideas that are fun but not too much work for me as I have a chronic health condition. Thanks!

Only 5 ingredients, subbed graham crackers for digestives and was very lax about the quantities. They are the tastiest thing I’ve ever made! It’s a US recipe but easy enough to convert to UK Grin

Buy some gingerbread men (one of the toddler food brands does them) and supply melted chocolate and a variety of sweets etc to decorate.
Very popular with my dds when they were younger.

We just made flapjacks. I supervised the melting of the butter but the rest they can handle. Based on this recipe but with only 100gr butter, less fruit (handfull or two of sultanas, and some extra wholemeal flour when the mix seemed a bit too runny. Yummy Grin

The DCs would love this - could the 9 year old do most of the base and then them both do the topping?

Cookie dough pizza

1-2-3-4 Cakes: 1 egg, 2oz marg, 3oz sugar, 4oz flour. Tip into a bowl and mix together. Add a drop of milk if the mixture’s a bit thick. Spoon into 10 paper cake cases & bake at 180c for 12-15 minutes. (Add raisins or coconut, top with chocolate or icing)
