Hi!

How should I store this cake, I don't have a tub big enough to fit it in.

Do I use greaseproof and then clingfilm?

I probably would use foil

Notageek · 27/07/2019 19:49

I would have thought clingfilm would stick as the icing sweats..Could you use foil to create a bubble over (but not touching it) ...or maybe in a bread bin or clean upside down mixing or washing up bowl ?

Yep an upside down large tub or bowl. You don't want anything touching the cake.

I would get a huge bit of foil. Sit the base of the cake in the middle and fold the sides up to make a dome over it. That's if you don't have a bowl or tub big enough

How long do you need to store it for?

Surely the icing will keep the cake fresh inside? X

I've put unusual size cakes into the type of plastic box you store things in the garage before to transport them to a party.

Thank everyone! It's only until tomorrow.

I've made a foil dome as I couldn't find a bowl or tub to go over it
