I need a new dishwasher and am looking for recommendations as reviews seem to be posted shortly after purchase.

Have you had a dishwasher for a few years and would you recommend it?

I have had my Miele (bottom of the range) for 12 years & would totally recommend it.

It's my second Miele, the first one (also bottom of the range) was left in a house we sold and that was 22 years old & was still going strong.

Eek! Slightly more than I had planned to pay.

Bosch. Bought a flat 9 years ago. Owner left that and washing machine (Zanussi). The washing machine was about 4 years old, the dishwasher 18 months old.

Still got both, although washing machine is definitely nearing the end.

Miele if you can afford it, if not Bosch (we have a 12 year old Bosch). It has needed a few parts replacing over the years but these are fairly easy to get hold of online Smile.

My last dishwasher was a Bosch, which lasted without any repairs until it finally gave up the ghost at 18. My current one is six years old, also Bosch, and no problems so far.

I’ve got a Siemens one which is fab. Had it for three years with no issues.

I'm a fan of neff. Current dishwasher is 11 years old. Pretty much everything gets clean on the lowest usage cycle. It's got adjustable racks and top shelf is removable to wash Bbq and oven shelfs. It will clean anything on the hottest wash

Brilliant, thanks. I think I will go with Bosch as they have a water saving model and we are on a meter.

Honestly I know you think Miele is expensive, but I bought my Miele 20 years ago because my parents one, then about 25 years old, was fabulous and after all that time still working absolutely fine.

Now my Miele is still going strong, as is my parents one. Both parents long gone - clearly didn't fare as well lol!, but luckily for my sister she still has it and it's used most days, neither have had any issues.

I'm going to echo PP Miele or Bosch but if you need to go for something cheaper choose Beko.

FairyFestival · 28/07/2019 11:32

Ha! The Beko is the outgoing dishwasher.

The thing is it’s an integrated appliance, and we probably won’t be in this house for another 20 years.

Bosch seems to be the one.

Miele.

First one lasted so long ,we weren't actually sure how old it was as it was in a house my parents bought but we think 20 yearsGrin

Second one is going strong after 8 years with no issues and is so quiet you can barely hear it running.

I had an appliance engineer round recently (dishwashers are his speciality), and asked him for a recommendation. He said Beko.
