Cheap but nice wedding ideas in Edinburgh

My partner and I are hoping to get married next year in Edinburgh but we don’t have much money. We would like to get married outside (with a nice back up if it’s raining) and then have a reception somewhere.
Does anyone have any ideas. We are completely stuck at the moment!!

My husband and I got married in Thomas Morton Hall - it cost £1780 for hire of the hall for the day of the wedding and the night before (for set-up). This included access to the foyer, kitchen-facilities, hire of tables and crockery etc. You can use the venue as both the reception area and a backup for the wedding.

We had our wedding breakfast at The Granary at the Shore - we paid £2136 to hire the entire pub for 3 hours, during which our guests had a 3 course meal, we provided each guest with a £5 drinks token, and provided an additional half bottle of wine per person).

Sorry forgot to add that we had 76 guests (65 adults and 11 children) that we provided meals and drinks for!
