Help!! Mumsnetters on East Yorkshire coast

Hi, Can any mumsnetters from Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington or surrounding area tell me what the weather is like there now please?

We are supposed to be camping in this area today but weather forecast is not looking good. We are from Manchester and it's a little drizzle here this morning weather forecast has said thunder storms here for days but they never arrived. so hoping Yorkshire isn't as bad as the weather forecast predicts.

So should we abandon the camp or not ?

On the met office app or bbc website you can type in the post code of a place and see what the weather is supposed to be like. The met office is pretty accurate. Sorry I can’t help more than that.

Currently on holiday but lots of Facebook posts about rain in east Yorks at the moment and plans for sports camps next week to move indoors...doesn’t look good.

Not there but York and Pocklington it's light rain now but has been very heavy overnight and this morning so the ground is soaked

Daughter 20 miles north of York. Very heavy rain, expected to continue, rural lane by her are like mini rivers

Friend of mine coming back this morning from reighton sands- it's on that stretch of coast, only got there yesterday, they were ment to be camping for the weekend. Said it was enough to put you off for good, forecast looks very wet- sorry

Heavy rain in York, looks rainy and thundery on the east coast.

"20 miles of york'' etc. is nowhere near east yokshire coast. Its fine

At this moment it's very grey and just started raining again... I think it's forecast showers and possible thunder til about 1pm. Then tomorrow cloudy but no rain if it helps. Still really warm though.

Thanks everyone for replies, we were only camping for 2 nights then staying for rest of the week in friends caravan. So not all bad, will just go up Monday now whatever the weather

Pissing down and looks set for the weekend at least. I'm packing in my holiday early (has been very hot and sunny up til now). I wouldn't bother with your camping trip to be honest.
