Scrappage Schemes

For cars -

I've had a look online , there are offers that seem to come and go ( but where they say up to £4,000 when I read through it's more like £2,500)

So , they're a Government funded scheme rather than the overwhelming generosity of the car sales?

Are there good deals to be had ?
My car is definately of the knackered variety .

Is there more incentive for electric? Smaller engines?

I am dazed and confused and feel very much uneasy in car showrooms.

Is there a best time to look? Before the new reg? After?
Will Boris new PM Johnson embrace the scrappage in a bid to get us into less polluting cars ? .

Any advice?

It pisses me off. It's got nothing to do with the environment, it's to do with boosting the earnings of the multi billion car manufacturers and try to keep them onside through Brexit. But at the same time little local repair garages lose out (British businesses! So much for supporting standing on our own feet!)

Sorry, I'm not much help, am I! As you can guess, we have a garage!

Reduce Recycle Reuse. Never by new it’s not good for the planet

Ah, so I am not scrappaging , I am trading in and buying a 3yo.

Engine efficiency will be better than what I'm driving at the moment .
In years to come (quite a few) I might go electric but for now , I;m sorted .
