I'm sitting on the loo in a lot of pain

Not the poo troll, I promise.

I've had stomach pains on and off for 3 days. I keep thinking I need the loo quite desperately and when I get there... nothing.

Obviously I will go to the docs if it continues but any advice?!

Yes get medical advice. This was my symptoms of appendicitis.

KitKat1985 · 26/07/2019 20:43

Have you taken any laxatives? If not, I think that's your first port of call.

NeverGotMyPuppy · 26/07/2019 20:43

Oh crikey. Ok, thanks.

Coming onto say appendicitis but see I’ve been beaten to it. Dcs symptoms - appendix - started this way.

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 26/07/2019 20:46

Where is your pain??

NeverGotMyPuppy · 26/07/2019 20:47

I've been to the loo - it was quite diarrhoea-like (sorry). Its across my abdomen

Belly button?

See how it goes in a bit but the runs is a symptom

Lucked · 26/07/2019 20:49

Have you actually been in the the last 3 days or are you constipated? With this heat you could have got a bit dry and that could be the cause.

I agree laxatives if this could be the case otherwise get advise.

Ullupullu · 26/07/2019 20:51

Have already posted but my pain with appendicitis was also across my abdomen. Assuming you are in the UK call NHS direct and get an out of hours appointment.

NeverGotMyPuppy · 26/07/2019 20:59

I have been to the loo, just not as many times as I felt like I have wanted to.
The pain is not constant or severe. Will give 111 a call tho.
Thanks all

How are you feeling op?

NeverGotMyPuppy · 27/07/2019 07:12

Hello - thanks for checking up!

So the pain got worse so I phoned 111. I then promptly fell asleep after waiting an hour. Oops.

I slept through and woke.up at 5.30 (cheers DS). I havent had any pain yet today.

My stomach felt very rumbly and bubbly last night. The pain was definitely more cramp like than anything else.
If it continues today I will go to the walk in.

I have IBS and these are my symptoms

Ullupullu · 27/07/2019 15:39

Pain with appendicitis comes and goes. Please see a healthcare professional OP, a burst appendix is life threatening.

sazzle27 · 27/07/2019 18:10

To be honest if you were my patient I would be considering a bowel obstruction or blockage..
To feel you need to go and not pass anything/only a bit diarrhoea-like sounds similar to overflow..

I'd definitely be looking for advice from 11 out of hours gp
