If so, how much did you pay?

Mines stopped spinning, it's 6 years old so I think I'll be replacing, but just to get an idea of what repair costs might be.

Google it!! Have you checked the little catch box? Could be something easy!

Hi. Is the drum turning when it’s washing? What make is it ?

OUwhatnext · 26/07/2019 20:42

I've googled. It's a Candy washer - Error e06, unbalanced load. With clothes in it gives the error code, but it wont spin empty either. Makes the usual draining noises but no spin noise and it stays still.

Just had a look - rebalance feet using a spirit level -
Don't wash huge items.
Retighten drum if it's loose.
All really easy stuff op! Lots of u tube tutorials!
Save a fortune!

You know that how much it will costs depends on what's wrong with it?

There's no fixed price for mending appliances you need to get a repair man to have a look if you can't sort it out yourself with google and you tube

Throw it away. You will spend as much fixing it as you would on a new candy.

I had the repair guy out to mine last week, for the week previous is was creating a slight burning smell & the drum didn't sound the same when spinning. He said it was the drum bearings, apparently machines now have the drum in one whole unit so although it was just bearings I would need a whole new drum. £280 for the new drum then his labour on top to fit it etc & would be 3-5 days for delivery. I bought a brand new one from curry's for £325 that came the next day...... the worlds gone bloody mad!!

Thanks all, I thought that might be the case! Bloody typical it breaking the day I get home from holiday with a mountain of washing!
