Large hole in c section incision 4 weeks on

I am getting my dressings changed by the nurse every day and am on antibiotics. The hole was caused by a stitch that took 3 weeks Instead of 5 days to dissolve. The nurse said that's common and it's really upset me.

I'm feeling quite stressed out that they'll have to open me up again. Has anyone else had this and recovered relatively smoothly?
The opening to the whole is 1 cm, but inside is 3cm on one side and 2 on the other. The depth is 2.5 cm. It seems massive to me?

I burst both my section scars. They put butterfly strips on both times. That worked for me. Be careful you dont want it to become infected.
