Ds hot to touch but cold forehead?

Ds 3 body feels really hot to touch but temp normal on forehead.
He’s been in my bed all night with air con unit in room so not the heatwave.
He’s a bit cuddly and his heart rate seems fast from what I can tell.
Can you have fever but not in head?

Have you taken his temp under his arm? Is he hydrated? (Can cause fast heart rate if dehydrated) how is he in himself? General rule we are always given with my tricksy heart compromised 3yo is treat the child not the temperature. If you’re worried get him seen.

If he also has cold hands and/or feet get him seen very quickly. Ring 111 if you are worried.

Thank you hands/feet are warm. Dh had ds yesterday and assured me he drank plenty plus he had lots of water before bed but his wee is dark this morning. Still v.cuddly so will take him gp for a check over thanks for advice

How is he, behaviour wise? Apart from a bit cuddly? In this weather, we are all a bit sluggish and off our food. As long as he is drinking and behaving more or less normally I wouldn't drag him to a GP.
Assuming he's otherwise well, of course.

Temp was up at dr so gp thinks viral infection back home for a cuddle now and lots of CBeebies
