Perfect prep - temp too high

Anyone else struggling with their perfect prep in this weather? Every time I go and make a bottle it flashes red at me telling me tank temp too high. Driving me mad.

Now I know a good few years ago they didn't exist but once you're used to the convenience it's bloody annoying not to be able to make a bottle at the drop of a hat.

Manage to get it going again emptying and refilling tank with cold water but bottle does seem hotter than normal unless my imagination is tricking me.

Im going to set some cool boiled water aside today as a back up but just wondered if anyone else was struggling with theirs and thought I would post incase someone was and wondered how to resolve it.

Yes. I managed to reduce the temp by taking out the hopper and pouring away that water, then refilling with very cold water from the fridge. Very annoying though. Also I assumed it would have cooled down in time for this morning's bottle, but your posting this suggests it won't have so I'd better get up and boil some water so it can cool before he wakes up!

Pop ice in the water bit

P.S. How do you empty and refill the whole tank without running a full cleaning cycle?

Mine started doing the same yesterday. Had to pour the tank away and refill with cold, which is annoying every single time.

It’s okay so far today though.

I just unplugged mine and tipped mine out.

I saw about the ice trick but we only have shop bought ice and I haven't used that as I don't know if its made from bottled water as I know you can only use certain water due to the sodium content but I might make some ice cubes today from the tap to help. Luckily dd is seven months so she can wait a bit without too much fuss but if she was a newborn this would be really stressing me.

We didn't have anything to make ice in yesterday (we do now!).

Genius idea tipping it out Grin

Worth starting a thread to help someone else out! I didn't go as far as emptying the whole tank which is why the bottle was probably a bit warmer if the warning light is correct.

If you have a newborn I think I would take the casing out and fully empty it just incase.
