I’m due in about a month with baby girl number two!! Older sister is named Stella but here are our few name options!!

Rorie1
Bodhi
2
Indigo3
Willow

Graelyn*5
Riley
Rosalie
Emerson
Scout
Poppy

Skye

As you can probably see, me and DH like the more unique ones with a few classics in there, the top five is at the top of the list. Those are our favorites but please let us know yours and our surname is Luck! Thank you all so much!!

Bodhi is a boys name.

Corasue · 26/07/2019 05:10

@LostInNorfolk no we did not want a boy😂, they are just some gender neutral names. And bodhi can be a girls name aswell :)

Willie and indigo are lovely.

Rememberallball · 26/07/2019 06:12

My shortlist from those names would be

Willow
Rosalie
Indigo
Poppy

The others are rather more masculine names than neutral (apart from Harper thanks to the Beckham's) and I think you might find people assuming you’ve had a son if you use one of them.

We were lucky we managed to find 4 combinations of names (I’m expecting twins and so we needed 2 boys names and 2 girls names plus we wanted middle names for them each too) that we really liked, that worked together and aren’t replicated within our extended family pretty easily and were sorted early on.

Good luck with your final decision xx

I love Willow, Rosalie and Summer from your list.

firstimemamma · 26/07/2019 06:43

Willlow, poppy and summer are the only 3 I like from your list to be honest. Good luck picking a name Smile

Bellaposey · 26/07/2019 06:53

Really like Willow and Rosalie from your list.

I am always very cautious of using boys names for girls (or visa versa). My sister has a traditional boys name and it caused her a lot of trouble in school - not from other children as much as school admin always thinking she was a boy from the names list and separating her from the girls. She now doesn't use her name and goes by a more recognised feminine derivative.

YouWhoNeverArrived · 26/07/2019 07:31

I know a woman called Rory. She carries it off because her dad's a rock star, and she inherited her mother's model looks. Even so, people tend to assume she's a bloke until they meet her, and why wouldn't they? She has a bloke's name. If you're not a celebrity, calling your daughter a boy's name is a bad idea. Sorry.

KindnessCrusader · 26/07/2019 07:38

The ones I don't like are 1 and 5. 1 I wouldn't know where to start pronouncing it and 5 I just don't love. I really like the other names on your list. I have a Baby Rae so biased Grin

golddustwomen · 26/07/2019 07:41

LOVE Rae x

RoseMartha · 26/07/2019 07:48

Rosalie

Soola · 26/07/2019 07:54

Poppy, Rosalie, Summer are my choice from your list.

I do t think Summer goes with Stella though.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 26/07/2019 07:55

A far few try-hard names there which fairly scream your desire to be "unique"! Ian Somerhalder's daughter is called Bodhi, and the Beckhams have Harper, of course, so the celeb influence is clear.

I've taught a lot of Poppies. Willow is a pretty name, as are Rosalie and Summer - none of them sound too desperate to stand out.

Rarfy · 26/07/2019 07:56

I love Lainey reminds me of Eminem although I'm not entirely sure that's what he says. Think it's his nieces name who he adopted.

Wereeaglesdare · 26/07/2019 08:32

I agree with PP some of your names might confuse people and it might get annoying saying she's a girl. I Like willow and poppy and summer. Just a few more ideas:
Eden
Aurora
Thora
Juno
Odetta
Jasmine
Rosa/ie
Leila.

Cannyhandleit · 26/07/2019 09:01

Atlasta · 26/07/2019 09:05

sawyersfishbiscuits · 26/07/2019 09:12

Indigo and Scout are the nicest IMO Smile

I also like

Aneira
Oak
Lavender

Terminal5 · 26/07/2019 21:18

Oak

Male labrador or springer spaniel

user1493494961 · 26/07/2019 22:31

Only like Poppy.

Hadenoughofitall441 · 26/07/2019 22:33

Skye is on my list. I like the name Rae too. The 2 indigos I know are both on the naughty side so I personally wouldn’t use that.

4forkssake · 26/07/2019 22:51

Another who only likes Poppy.
