Real time lightening map. I’m currently lying on my bed listening to the thunder and simultaneously watching it on the map.

I'm flitting between the lightning map and the air traffic map. Favourite way to pass an evening, watching the planes come in on route to/from Heathrow.

A few random ones heading towards the midlands now. Come on. :)

Ratbag did you hear that one ridiculously loud bang in the early hours?!! I thought the house was splitting in two! Just one bang and then torrential rain.

A house in a village near us got struck by lightning earlier, the roof caught fire but the fire brigade got there quick and saved the house. Family safe thank goodness.

Exhaustion got the better off me before the thunder made its way to us. I kind of woke up once to the sound of thunder, enough to think that "nooo, I'm too sleepy to look at the lightning map", but otherwise missed it all.
