Thunder has been rumbling about for about two hours but not a drop of the cooling wet stuff. It's very sticky and humid so it's not just my tomatoes that would be grateful for a quick downfall.

I am in Chester and we got shit loads. I said to DH, it’s going to rain soon, he said not until 5, I said it will be much sooner (it was 3ish). 5 mins later the heavens opened

East Kent here had lots of noise a few flashes of lightning, not much actual rain still sweltering.

North Norfolk. Horrific thunderstorm for the past hour or so, never seen lightning like it. It's started to absolutely pour with rain for the last 10 mins. Happy to keep the rain, the storm can bugger off!

We had everyones rain in June but unfortunately yours hasn’t turned up here. We did have a tremendous thunderstorm at 2am the other night and are supposed to get another around 3am in the morning. Most inconsiderate time! Just get on with it now so we can get some sleep

We've had such a light sprinkling of rain here in the West Midlands that it's practically boiled off the pavements before it's registered that it's raining.

I had five minutes vicious rainfall in Yorkshire this afternoon.

Northwest and we have had so much this afternoon after a crazy hot morning. We are forecast more heavy rain and thunder storms all weekend. I just bought a nice big pool damnit!

Well apparently I am due rain at 1.00. That is to say there is a 40% chance of rain at 1.00. The tomatoes are not happy about it.

I got some of it at about 5:30:near Preston. A couple of massive thunderstorms and short but intense bout of rain. Not as much as the other night but it took the temperature down from over 30 to about 22 in a few minutes.

Please can we have lots of rain in East Cheshire?

None here in Bristol yet apart from a few sad splatters earlier. According to the met office we’re due a good drenching at 7 am. So pleased I’ve hung 2 loads of washing on the line 😭😭
