Evening reception gift

What is the etiquette for evening reception wedding gifts. Been invited to a relatives evening reception only (second marriage). My OH thinks it's cards only for evening - I'm not so sure. What do you do?

I would get John Lewis vouchers - a nominal amount, say £30.

Depends on how far you travelled, same town I would do a £25 voucher, if I was travelling further just a card

I would take something, even if just going to the evening do. Probably, as others have said, a cheque or gift voucher in a card.

Card and a bottle of wine if you attend but usually just a card for a second marriage as they will have everything they need already for a home and have already had a round of gifts the first time.

Buy them a bay tree or lemon tree
