I need to buy a doll and I remember this from my childhood. Is it worth trying to get a genuine one or are there nice ones available now that you could recommend? My dd never wanted a doll and ds had a soft body one from Asda so I'm out of touch.

I loved Tiny tears when I was young too, not sure what they are like now but my daughter loves Corolle dolls (usually on offer on Amazon) and has a few different ethinicities. They smell lovely and come in different sizes depending on childs age. My daughter still at 6 loves the smaller ones best, the Mon premier ones. My youngest seems to love them too!

Thank you. I'll take a look.

My daughters are currently in love with the tiny treasure dolls from Argos.

I had an original tiny tears (I am ancient) and have just looked at the modern version - and it isn't very like the original, the early ones were nice, but I don't know whether you'd get one now - not in decent condition anyway.

Do you specifically want a baby doll ? Baby Annabel looks quite nice, or Baby Born, and seem to have lot of gear you can buy for them !
I've just seen a nie looking one called 'our generation doll' which is more of a little girl than a baby doll and seems to have a lot of clothes etc.

My DDs have Baby Borns and they are very sweet. They cry, wee, eat etc. It's great for birthdays etc as well as you can buy loads of stuff for them!

I have to get a doll that looks like a baby as opposed to a teddy or soft toy. It doesn't have to do anything but look like a baby.
