Stair Lifts

Not sure if this is the right place but what the heck.

We may need to get a stair lift fitted for DW. But the only place it could go is on the party wall of the people we're semi-detached with (if you see what I mean).

If we had one fitted, would next door be able to hear it in operation? Would it be so loud as to be a nuisance?

Anyone any experience of this. We get on OK with NDNs and I've no wish to antagonise them.

They don’t actually fit to the wall… The tracks fit onto the steps. Not sure about noise, depends what your walls are like.

The one my mum has is very quiet. I don't think it would be a problem.

Ours is on the party wall, but the track is on the stairs

The lifts fits onto a track on the stairs. My Dad has a Stannah fitted via the council...quiet as anything.
