Hey wise biatches. What is the proper name for a sort of plastic bracket type thing that enables you to put one white good on top of another, e.g. a fridge on top of a dishwasher, a tumble dryer on top of a washing machine? But it keeps them apart so they are not actually resting on each other with their weight? Please let me know, if anyone knows the right term. Thanks x

Oooh. Seems they are only really for washers and dryers. I was hoping to put fridge on top of dishwasher...don't suppose anyone else has got mingin' old kitchen that they cannot afford to rip out and a single fridge and has been in their house for 2 years and was like 'meh, i can cope easily without a dishwasher' and is now like 'ye gods i can't go another week without one'? The time it takes, handwashing dishes....I digress

Could you biuld a surround round the dishwasher (worksurface with uprights and a batib at the back) to put the fridge on?

Fridge would be too heavy. Dryers are ok because they are lighter.

If you haven't already bought a dishwasher you could get a worktop one (I used to have one, it was ace).

I used to have a standard slimline dishwasher that stood on the countertop over my washing machine, worked a treat.
