When will paternity leave start?

Posting here for a bit more traffic than the pregnancy board.

I know that usually paternity leave starts the day after baby is born. However, DP has the next 5 days off because of how his rota has fallen. If baby was to arrive within these 5 days, would the paternity leave start the day following birth, or his first day back in work?

I can’t seem to find the answer online and friends/family have given us contradictory info

This page says taken within 56 days of birth.

I think it's fine to start after his days off. My husband decided not to have his as soon as baby was born as I had to stay in hospital (with lots of nurses and midwives supporting me) so he saved his paternity leave for when we were home
