Where do we stay in London?

Help! If we want to do things day and night with a 15 year old, what area do we book a hotel/apartment? We'll be travelling to/from Euston. I'm going round in circles looking, we can find our way round as we visit most years but usually stay an hour away.

Look at the Grange hotels in Bedford Place. Bloomsbury is a good area to get around from and easy tube from Russell Square. Nice restaurants locally, walking distance of Covent Garden and Shaftesbury Avenue. Even walking to Oasis pool which has outdoor area if it’s still hot.

Ah, a pool is a winner for the teenage one so that sounds a good spot, thank you.

If you are just using it as a base then I’d just book the Premier Inn / travel lodge at Euston.

If you are going in the summer swimming in the serpentine Lido was a huge plus for my DD. Entry is very reasonable, although there was a bit of a queue and there is a cafe and bar onsite. It was a really good way of breaking up our day and cooling off.

The Premier inn is an option, it would be good to get at least one separate bedroom but that would be OK if need be. Lido at the serpentine also going on the list!
