Is this unacceptable behaviour?

D.C. 4, 6 & 9 all playing in the paddling pool. DC9 takes water soaker and intentionally soaks all the garden furniture seat cushions. Get DC9 out of the pool, explain she’s lost her pool time, she curls her lip, shrugs and says ‘meh’. I’m really cross about the lack of respect, DH says it’s just children playing with water on a hot day and what did I expect?

I would agree with your dh. Over excitement on a hot day. The stuff will set in two minutes. Just tell her not to do it again.

I'm inclined to agree with DH, garden furniture is designed to get damp occasionally surely and they're going to dry pretty quickly today!

I do get cross if they splash the windows Grin but even then, I'm not sure I'd remove pool privileges. It's not often they get to play in it and a bit of over exuberance is to be expected, even encouraged.
