If you had £100 to spend in John Lewis...

... what would you buy? I unexpectedly received £100 John Lewis vouchers as recompense for a minor inconvenience Smile. I feel I would like to use them to treat myself (I rarely have £10 spare to do this, so to have £100 feels like all my birthdays have come at once!).
I've not a clue what to spend them on though, so I'd love some ideas.

Apologies havnt RTFT - doesn’t seem to want to load!

We frequently receive JL vouchers (the go to Christmas/birthday gift of elderly relatives) and I tend to ‘treat’ us to move Waitrose food/drink.

If you rarely have money spare then I’m guessing you weekly shop isn’t full of luxuries? PLUS this way it lasts longer.
Every time you have a crappy day or need a pick me up go and buy yourself a really nice item (for me it would be pudding) from Waitrose!!!

That £450 candle causes skin rashes! Shock

Tefal saucepan set with removable handles - so much easier to store.

I love gin and chocolate but I wouldn't spend this money on it.

If you're really short of money, OP, you could spend £10 or £20 at a time as a treat whenever you're in town.

avalanching · 24/07/2019 21:57

Buy the kids' school uniforms so I could spend £100 on myself elsewhere 😊

@NaturalBornWoman

The lamp that you've chosen is beautiful!
Anyone who doesn't agree is jealous Wink Crunchymum?

NaturalBornWoman · 24/07/2019 22:38

Thank you! My husband said it's 'pretentious' Hmm

I'll go with "unique" if that's OK? Shock

I have never been into a John Lewis store ever, so would have to give a voucher to someone who shops there.I do know a relative who shops there, and she is always buying stuff there, and she has now got more John Lewis stuff, than the shop has.

I love the lamp! But won’t it be a dust magnet?

growlingbear · 25/07/2019 07:57

New towels! Big fluffy bathsheets with different colours for each family member so I can work out who is always leaving them sopping on the floor.

concernedforthefuture · 25/07/2019 08:02

@Theimpossiblegirl Oh now there's a thought Gin. We don't have a nearby Waitrose so I completely forgot that you can spend JL vouchers there.
