Surcare laundry liquid

If you have allergic/adverse reactions to various laundry products, are you okay with Surcare liquid?

I was using Ecover Zero but they changed their ingredients a few months ago so now I can't use it any more. I tried washing with bicarbonate of soda a few times but it made me feel scratchy.

I've opened the bottle of Surcare and I think it seems okay but I wondered if it made my eyes slightly sting or not. I wasn't 100% sure as it may be just because I'm worried as I've tried so many products.

Also it has all these warnings about it being dangerous if you get it in your eyes, which is making me feel scared.

Do you know which ingredients you are allergic to? DS has sensitive skin, he'd be OK with the soap and most of the other ingredients but the optical brighteners might be a problem.

I found the easiest thing was to take the items out of the wash, then use a spin dryer and use it to give several extra rinses in warm water.

Unfortunately I've never been able to find out exactly what ingredients I'm allergic to, but hate all perfumes and need scent-free products.

I'd try it but wash it twice, the second time without any product.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I'm getting quite desperate now as I've almost run out of wearable clothes. I have at least two piles which are clean but unbearable due to the itching.

What product do you use for your DS? I'm interested to hear all suggestions. I'm so annoyed with Ecover!

When it was bad I used to use Ecover wool wash.
He used to have a list of allergies as long as your arm including cows milk, peanuts and perfume, but weirdly, he's mostly grown out of them. Neither of us can use Persil no matter how much rinsing they get, and I still react to some perfumes so have to be careful if they change the formula. He gets heat rash, and occasional flare ups of eczema which he can't link to anything specific but could be caused by cheese.

Ecover has been bought out by another company and have changed all their formulas.
