I've recently been made unemployed, and due to being heavily pregnant am unable to look for any work.

However, this has put me in a pretty sticky situation, as I'm not sure what benefits I can apply for.

Can anyone help me with some advice??
I'm currently applying for ESA, and will be applying for the Maternity Grant when the baby is born, and once the ESA has been confirmed, I will be applying for help with my Council Tax if I can get it.

But what else is there?

Are you single or in a relationship? If you're single you can apply for Universal Credit.

Citizens advice will help you

I would recommend going to your local job centre or citizens advice. Universal credit doesn’t tend to backdate so if you need to claim that you will want to start it ASAP.

What are your housing costs? Do you rent or pay a mortgage? That will impact what benefits you can claim.

I don't know if someone on ESA can make a new claim for housing benefit so if you are eligible for housing costs you may need to claim both ESA and UC.

Council tax benefit is separate, through your local council.

You need proper advice.
