Our NDN are late 60's and have quite a few health problems between them. Their son has pressured them into having the DGS every day of the school holidays (they had said no but the son said it will be easy and it will save the parents money) he drops him off an 8am then picks up at 6pm. The parents are not taking any holidays during the school holidays as they are going to Australia at Christmas and want a few weeks then.
This child is nearly 4 so is very active. The parents don't want anyone else to look after him during the school holidays so won't enquire about clubs nursery etc.
Nd wife was talking today about how hard it is to keep him occupied and this only the 2nd day. They went to bed at 7.30 last night as so tired.
I understand that a lot of people need families to help care for children over school breaks but surely the health comes first.
I know it's none of my business but feel so sorry for the Ndn.
